우리의 사명

담배 기업 없는 캘리포니아는 가능성을 넘어 이미 실현되고 있습니다.12

캘리포니아 공중 보건부의 프로그램인 UNDO는 담배 기업의 치명적인 전염병을 캘리포니아에서 종식시키기 위해 싸우는, 미국 최고의 공중 보건 프로그램 중 하나입니다. 우리는 담배 산업의 피해를 복구하고 모든 캘리포니아 주민의 건강과 복지에 대한 권리를 회복하기 위해 매일 노력하고 있습니다. 이는 우리 모두가 깨끗한 공기와 물이 있는 건강한 커뮤니티에서 살 권리가 있고, 담배 산업으로 인한 사망, 질병, 독성 폐기물로부터 자유로워야 하기 때문입니다.345678 또한 아이들은 어린 시절에 담배 기업에 중독되는 일 없이 성장해야 합니다.

캘리포니아 주민들은 30년이 넘도록 담배 기업과 맞서 싸우는데 앞장서 왔습니다.91011 우리가 행동하면 다른 이들이 따라옵니다. 하지만 우리는 아직 결승선에 도착하진 못했습니다.

UNDO는 커뮤니티 참여, 중독 개입 및 연구, 그리고 과감한 공교육 캠페인을 통해 캘리포니아 커뮤니티가 더 건강한 미래를 건설할 수 있도록 매일 지원하고 있습니다. 우리가 함께 이루고자 하는 목표는 :

  1. 법안, 정치인, 경제에 걸쳐 캘리포니아에 미치는 담배 기업의 영향력을 제거하는 것 입니다. 
  2. 고객을 유지하고 새로운 중독자를 확보하려는 담배 산업의 노력을 방해하고 사람들이 담배를 끊도록 도움으로써 캘리포니아에서 담배 전염병을 종식시키는 것입니다. 
  3. 담배 제품을 덜 매력적이고, 덜 용인되고, 덜 접근가능하게 만듦으로써 모든 캘리포니아 커뮤니티를 담배 기업의 제품, 독성 폐기물, 그리고 간접흡연으로부터 해방시키는 것입니다.
